Extending the Timeline with frames

- [Instructor] We currently only have a single frame on our timeline, which means we're unable to scrub the play head at all. And more importantly, no animation can occur. The animate timeline works as a frames based system. So we'll need to add some frames in order to ultimately provide some sort of change over time. The play head itself is this blue marker right here. And as you can see, I can't scrub it anywhere because we only have that single frame. If you recall, in our document properties, we have our FPS, or frames per second set to 30. And inside of our timeline, we have a one second marker at frame 30. And of course, another 30 frames will bring us another second, two seconds, at frame 60, and so on. What we're going to do is extend our frames to 10 seconds. So all you need to do is scrub this little widget at the bottom, this slider all the way over until you find the 10 second mark, which because we are at 30 frames per second, that is 300 frames.
