Manipulating paths

- [Instructor] Using the pencil, we can create a variety of custom paths and shapes, but things may not turn out exactly as we like when initially drawn. The path and anchor system is very forgiving and animate, and we can adjust everything using a combination of the selection and subselection tools. So here are our mountains here. And again, this is a basic shape. Now, when you're dealing with shape data like this inside of animate there are many different ways of manipulating that data. So one way is to actually use the selection tool. So if you want to modify paths and curves of a shape using the selection tool just make sure to de-select the shape itself. So just click anywhere on the pasteboard to de-select stuff. And then if you hover over the edges of the shape, along the shape path, you'll notice that the cursor changes to display a little arc near it. This is going to indicate that if you click and drag you can manipulate the edges of the shape in this way. So here we have a…
