Using movie clip symbols

- [Instructor] As we've seen, symbols and animate allow the smart reuse of content and each symbol type has its own special attributes. Let's go ahead and create a movie clip symbol from an existing animated asset and see how the behavior differs from that of a graphic symbol. To do this, we're going to be using the assets panel once again. So let's go and open that up. Instead of using any of the default assets that come bundled with animate, go over to custom and then click the little plus sign down here to import an asset. We've packaged this little comment and a file along with the exercise files for this course. Go ahead and select that and click open. If we look inside of animated, we can see our little comment right here and we get a little preview of the internal animation. As you can see the comment stretches and dissolves as it moves.
