Adding icons and photography
- [Instructor] So I have gone in and added more type. I got a little more creative, I have some vertical text going on, I have some color, just to kinda get my graphic a little more jazzed up. Now, I wanna share with you how we can add photos and icons using Adobe Spark Post. The first thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna tap on this large blue box, and I'm gonna replace that with an image. Once I selected that, you see at the very top an icon with a mountain. Once I tap on that icon, I'm able to see all these options where I can pull my imagery from, from my photo library, my camera. And I'm gonna go into Creative Cloud, 'cause that's where I have my folders set up. Once I have found the folder that I wanted with my images, I'm gonna select on it, and I'm gonna tap on the image I want, then I'm gonna tap on open. Once I do that, as you can see, it places it in, boom, we're ready to go, and now, I'll add another image. So I'm gonna tap on done, and I'm gonna go into that orange box and change that to an image, so we're gonna go through the same process. Go to the very top with the icon, and I'm gonna go to the Creative Cloud just because that's where I have my folder set up. Now, I'm back in my folder area, and I'm gonna select the other image I want. Now, it's in my graphics, and I'm ready to add some icons to really just take my design to a better looking aesthetic. So I'm gonna go to the very bottom where it says Add, and I'm gonna tap on that. I'm gonna tap on Add Icon. Once I do that, I see actually eucalyptus pop up because I was researching for some ingredients to add to my graphics, so there is this nice leaf that I wanna select, and I'm gonna go in and rotate it. Once I have done that, I'm actually gonna go size it down and bring this graphic to the very bottom so that I can have it along my ingredients list. I'm gonna tap on Done, and now I'm gonna add more icons that have more of my ingredients. And one of the other ingredients I have for my product is aloe, so I'm just gonna tap on that. Right Aloe, and look for an aloe vera plant that just looks with the aesthetic that I really wanna use. And now, I'm just gonna size it down, change the color, and arrange it in this area. So I can always go and modify it and tweak it at a later time. Now, I really wanna share with you how you can add a nice pattern towards the side using your icons. So we're gonna go again, add an icon. Now, we're gonna search for patterns. You can always search for pattern too and you'll get different results. Now, I really like this pattern on the second row, and I'm gonna select that. Once I select it, it populates it again, and I'm gonna bring it to the very far left. And I'm gonna change the color at the very bottom. You see some color options, so I'm gonna tap on a different color, so that it just kinda works really nice with my design. I'm actually gonna bring that out a little more, and I'm gonna actually bring the order box so that the type is in the front. So, to change the order, you're gonna select the area you want to move, to the very back and you're just gonna tap the slider to the left or to the right, depending on if you wanna move it to the back or to the front. Now, I've done all this work, and I want to bring this pattern into the very bottom with the green box. Now, I don't wanna do the whole process again, so I'm gonna share with you a little great trick you can do to save you a lot of time. The very top you see those two boxes with the plus sign, tap on that and you've duplicated the same exact color, size, of the icon. And I'm just able to literally drag it. And now, all I need is change the order of it, again, tap on the order option and bring it back. Now, because this is still very vibrant, I wanna lower the opacity of this pattern, so, I'm gonna tap on opacity and bring that level down. And now, I have added some patterns and photography to my post, and it looks even more stunning than it did when we started.
