- [Narrator] When we combine color and type we need to make sure there is a legibility with our message and that the colors really align well. If we use the wrong type of colors that don't align with our message, for instance I'm trying to empower you with this graphic, and if I had colors that really didn't align I would loose the attention of my audience. So I want to share with you the big difference it can make when we're using the wrong colors for our type. So as you can see this graphic is bold and beautiful and I really want to empower people with the positive message. But let's say I took it back to another place where the color really wasn't there. As you can see this orange in the background is just getting a little too muddy and the colors just do not make me feel empowered. So let's go in and change these colors so that we can end up with a result like I showed you initially. First thing I'm going to change is this orange background.
