- [Instructor] Visual hierarchy in your copy is such a powerful way for you to tell a story with your type and tell viewers what you want them to read first without necessarily telling them that, which I think is super brilliant. So I want to share with you some of the strategies that I do to really enhance the reader's experience when it comes to type and how we structure things. In this example, we are having the focus on the military. And as a military spouse, I understand the back end of it, like the emotional side, and I really want that to be conveyed with a graphic. So we have this beautiful image of the dad returning home, hugging his daughter, but the type is really taking away from the whole meaning and what the purpose of this graphic is. So I want to share with you a process that I use, what I call my high-rise process, to end up with something that is a lot more visually pleasing and has a lot more structure, like this one.
