In this video, learn about the different types of plugins and discover how the instructor selected the plugins for this course.
- [Instructor] At the time of this recording, there are over 300 different plugins available for Adobe XD, 307 to be exact. And from those 307 plugins, I have selected 15 that stand out from the rest. I've selected five plugins for UX design, five plugins for presentation design, and five plugins for prototyping and output. My selection is based on a variety of different factors, of which the value of the plugin was the most dominant. In other words, what is it that you can achieve by using the plugin that would otherwise be impossible by only using Adobe XD's native features or take you a huge amount of work? But of course, other factors were taken into consideration as well, like the pricing of the plugin, the ease of use, and for which purpose the plugin can be used. In other words, scalability was also important, as some plugins sometimes serve other purposes as well when used in different situations. Of course, there was a lot of overlap between some plugins. For example, there are multiple plugins out there that allow you to add stock images to your project or placeholder text or allow you to better manage your artboards. For these plugins, I always selected the plugin that was the easiest to use or had the most options available.
