Mac XD UI overview

- [Narrator] Here you can see the tutorial file open in XD. So different than Photoshop or Illustrator, if you select something you can see the Properties Inspector changes here on the right to reflect your selection. If I select an artboard, I see properties of that artboard there. The first thing you can see on the UI is this Home icon. This takes you to the welcome screen, the Start screen. Here you can create new projects based on presets, find some links to tips, access your cloud documents, cloud documents that are shared with you, you can manage your links created in XD, the ones that are deleted, you can load files from your computer, and you can see some links on What's New, Learn, and you can also provide feedback. So I'll close this for now. Here you have your Design mode, you also have access to Prototype mode, and Share mode. Those are the three main modes in XD. Here on the left you have your basic and main design tools. You have an access here to the Assets panel, where you can see your colors, character styles and components. Layers panel, the panels for plugins, here you can save your plugins and you can reuse them on the panel. And you have your regular menu items here, File, Edit, Object, Plugins, View, Window, and Help. One little tip on the Mac is that any time you need to access something, let's say, I want to find out how to mask these two elements, and I don't know where that is on the menu, I can click here on Help and I can start typing Mask for example, and then if I hover there, this will show me where that is, so it gives me a little tip there. On the right here, I can invite people, other designers to edit this document with me, I can see if my mobile device is connected, I can open the Preview window by clicking on the Play button, and here I can change the zoom level of my design. Just a quick disclaimer here, chances are the UI that you see here now in XD might change. As you know, we have monthly releases, and because of all the new functionality that's being added to XD, that might impact the UI.
