- [Instructor] In the previous chapter, I talked about user flows. And this is a good place to start that process, because you can tack up the sketches for the screens and get a sense of how a user will move through the project. If you find problems, you can simply move them around or sketch up any that may be missing, or remove any that may be impediments to the user. This is also the ideal time to start sketching out what I call task flows. What's the difference between the two? Task flows tend to concentrate on a single task, such as filling out a form. User flows, which are kind of shown here, tend to concentrate on the user and how he or she will move through the app. Think of a forest and tree scenario. A user flow is a bird's eye view of the trees showing where someone would enter and leave the forest, whereas a user flow focuses on how someone would get to the end point of a path through the forest.
