- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about color. Not the subject of color in a general format, but how color relates to a design system. If you are building a design system from scratch, this is where you should start. Why? Well, color is going to show up everywhere in the project. So you have to organize your colors right from the start. I have Adobe Experience Design open here, and I want to talk about creating these design systems containing color. So the first thing you have to do is to create a color inventory to identify the primary or base colors. And you can do this with a bunch of swatches. If you are working with a company such as FedEx, those colors will be documented. If you don't have colors documented, determine which colors are associated with the brand you are working with and the ones that will be most prevalent in the UI. Don't get fancy.
