- [Instructor] Skeuomorphism is the design concept of making two dimensional onscreen items represent their real world three-dimensional counterparts. For instance, making knobs and buttons created in a music app, look like the actual knobs and buttons you would find on an actual stereo system. So, in UI design, we take 2D shapes and apply lighting effects to make them look like 3D versions of the objects we're trying to imitate. In this video, I will show you how to make the dial using V effects, styles, and gradient feature found in Affinity Designer. So, I have a file here that's included in your exercise files, and this is the final outcome of the file. So, you can actually see what it looks like, and we're going to work over here on this side.
