Adjusting the brightness and contrast

- [Instructor] Here's the scene after applying our haze removal. The distant trees are now much clearer, but the whole scene has got rather dark. Let's fix that next. I'm our Adjustment panel, let's scroll down and choose the Curves adjustment. Here, we can click in the middle of the line and drag up to brighten the scene. If we click a bit higher up we can drag up to increase the contract and note how the previous point we added remains in place. By adjusting these two points we can get the best possible contrast for our scene. And that seems like a good balance. If we go back to our layers panel you can see that the Curves adjustment is added on top of the layer. You can turn it on and off, or if we want at any point we can double click it and we can continue to modify the way our scene looks. That's looking a lot better so far. Let's compare it to the original, and you can see it's much crisper and we've managed to rescue a lot of the detail. Let's see if we can do something about…
