Painting the sky

- Our scene's looking a lot crisper. But all that gray sky makes it look rather dull. So let's fix that. We'll add a new pixel layer, and lets reach for the brush tool. We'll set a large brush by holding control with optional alt on a Mac, control and both mouse buttons on a PC. Now we can drag left and right to make our brush larger and smaller. Let's pick a pale blue color and we'll paint over the sky area. Now that doesn't look very convincing, but when we change the mode of this layer from normal to darken, you can see how it allows those trees to show through. Let's add a bit of color reflecting that sky in the water as well. So we'll paint over the water area and the highlights. Let's make it a smaller brush and paint this bit of water in the back as well. So far, so good. It's a bit too strong. If we push the separate layer we can change the opacity of it. Click the little triangle next to the opacity number and drag to the left to reduce the opacity of this layer. Around about…
