- [Narrator] To open Photo for iPad, just tap its icon. Affinity Photo will open and you'll see all your current projects. To add a new one, tap the plus button and you'll see a range of locations from which you can choose to add images. I'm going to choose to add from the cloud. You could add from your iCloud folder or you can choose another service such as Dropbox. I have an Affinity Photo folder in iCloud, and this contains all my current files. I'm going to add the castle image and it opens up inside Affinity Photo. Photo uses a set of interfaces called personas. This is the photo persona. We can switch between them using the buttons on the top. Here are the selection tools. Here's the liquefy persona. This is used for adapting raw images. The final one is for tone mapping, and it takes a while to load this. We'll look at this later on. Let's go back and we'll say we don't want to make any tone mapping changes at this stage. If you have trouble remembering what all the personas are or what the tools do, tap and hold the question mark icon on the bottom right and tool tips come up showing what all the tools are. Let go of it to hide them again. Tap the icon on the top right to hide all of the tools. Now you can zoom in by pinching and pulling apart to zoom in and out of your image. To fit the image to the window, double tap with two fingers. Top the top right icon to bring back all the tools. Those are the basics of the Photo interface. Of course, we'll look at each tool and each persona in more detail in the rest of this tutorial.
