Removing fine wrinkles

- [Instructor] Now that we've got our image separated into its high and low frequency components we can work on this high frequency layer and we can get rid of these wrinkles in many ways. Let's use the inpainting brush tool and we can paint over them and they disappear. If we change the high frequency layer back to linear light you can see how those fine wrinkles have gone from our image. We can still work on the high frequency layer even set to linear light mode so we can see the low frequency layer beneath it. We'll just paint over these wrinkles and they disappear. But note that the shading around them remains and that's because that's on the low frequency layer. We can take out all the fine lines this way and it leaves the underlying texture alone. Does work on the eyes. And that's cleaned it up quite well. If we compare it to the original there's the original and here it is with that fine detail removed.
