Replacing blue skies

- [Instructor] If you only want to replace a sky in a landscape image, then it gets even easier. Let's zoom in on this slightly. And we'll pretend that building on the right isn't there anymore. We've got a very plain blue sky, and I want to replace it with these new stormy clouds. Again, let's click the gear icon to open our blend options, and because the sky underneath is blue, I want to look just at the blue channel. In the underlying layer, let's grab the top left hand marker and drag it down to the bottom, and you can see how that takes out all of that blue sky replacing it with our new sky. We can drag it slightly to the right and that allows more of the trees to show through. If we think the overall effect is too strong we can click anywhere in the line between the start point and the end point to make a new handle and then we can drag that up to darken it, or drag it down to reduce the effect.
