Using the blend controls
- [Instructor] We've got our threshold image. We now need to color it. Let's go to our Layer Menu and add a New Fill Layer. And this fills with the colored foreground color. We'll change that to red by just clicking and dragging within our color swatches here. So far, that's covering everything beneath it. Let's drag it down inside the Marilyn layer and now it only applies to that layer. But of course, we don't want it to apply to the white areas, just the black areas. So we'll change the mode of this Fill Layer from Normal to Lighten. And now it brightens up the black areas, but it leaves the white areas unaffected. As long as we've got that Fill Layer selected, we can continue to change the color simply by dragging within this color spectrum. Don't make your color too bright, or it will look unreal. Round about there seems to work quite well for this image. But it doesn't really look as if it fits onto this very badly painted wall. Let's zoom in on it. And switch from the Fill Layer…
