From the course: Affinity Photo for iPad

Welcome

- [Narrator] Affinity Photo for iPad is an enormously powerful, fully featured photo manipulation app that for the first time brings true desktop power to a mobile device. We'll begin by seeing how we can take this photograph of a French tower and replace the sky, then warm up the foreground to match that sky. In chapter two we'll start with a studio portrait and see how to remove the background, including cutting it out inside all that complex hair. We'll add a new background, add tint and blur effects, then add custom lighting to the original image before turning it into a jazz poster with text effects and vector shapes. In chapter three we'll look at Photo's power to process raw images. We'll take this dull picture of a church and perform a range of enhancements on it, straighten up the perspective, and balance the foreground and sky, all within the raw persona. In chapter four we'll begin by looking at high dynamic range images. We'll take three exposures of this scene and combine them into a single image. We'll then see how we can use Photo's tone mapping tools to create an image that combines the best of all the exposures. We'll see how we can start with a flat graphic of a flag, change its modes to show the image beneath it, and then distort it to match the shape of the flag beneath. We'll look at the retouching tool that allows us to remove the blemishes from this face, then go on to see how we can turn that sullen expression into a smile. Finally, we'll take a quick look at some of Photo's more advanced filters and effects in this overview of the capabilities of this supremely powerful app.
