3D sports logo in After Effects

- [EJ] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your MoGraph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. In this short video, I'm going to show you how you can quickly turn your Illustrator artwork into a slick sports logo using After Effects' new Cinema 4D renderer. This new renderer utilizes the render engine from Cinema 4D to render 3D completely inside of After Effects, and it's a lot of fun to use. So here we are in After Effects, and you can see I already imported my Illustrator file. I have them all layered out here. And what I'm going to do is turn these into shape layers by going up to Layer, Create Shape Layers from Vector Layer. You can see that we have all of our shape layers here, so I can actually get rid of all of my Illustrator layers and one thing I'm going to do is center the anchor points to each individual shape layer here.
