Apply random colors to objects in Cinema 4D

- [Instructor] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your Mo' Graph' knowledge, one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. If you've ever wanted to be able to apply random colors to your clones in Cinema 4D, it used to be a very tedious process, that is, before the recent addition of what's called the Variation Shader. In this week's video, I'm going to show you the basics of the Variation Shader and how you can use it to easily apply random colors to objects. So here we go, we have some little fishies here in our cloner. They're being all cloned up in our scene here, and I have a simple yellow material applied to our fish geometry here. So if I double-click my yellow material, you can see nothing more than just some color in the Color Channel and a little bit of specular in the Reflectance. Now, if we wanted to randomize the color that was being applied to these fish, and say, maybe define a handful of colors to apply to these fish, we're going to go…
