Applying textures selectively with Set Selection
- [Instructor] There are times where you want to apply different materials to different parts of your object. We're in O5O13DO5. If you have access to the exercise files, you an open up the exercise files folder and grab that file to work along with me. If we open up the bus here, you'll see there are various different objects within the bus. We've got the body, which is this cube, with cylinders for the wheels. And then we've got these effects applied to those. So I've got a taper object, just creating that kind of taper effect at the top. A sheer object, and then smoothing on that. Now, we can track materials directly onto the bus, the same way as we did with the clouds. But with the bus, we want different materials on different elements. So I'm just going to show you quickly how that was done. If we open it up and select the cube, you'll notice it shows me the basic, editable shape of the cube. And I'm in polygon mode. And what we've done here is selected this group of polygons…
