- So in this movie, we're going to start constructing a mosaic for our template. We'll first take a look at creating the mosaic with built-in After Effects, tools and effects. So in this movie, we're going to be looking at creating a photo mosaic or at least how to set this up using native After Effects tools, and some other tools that are also free, that can help us in the process. Let's actually hop into After Effects. I'm here in my Chapter 32 composition. And I just want to explain this, I have one main photo that I want to change into a mosaic, a lighthouse. And that lighthouse is a very specific dimension, it's 3840 x 2160. I usually base the main photo based on how much I want to zoom in onto the image. So say that I want to go into it about two times as much, is how I ended up with this number of double the size of 1920 x 1080, because that's going to be my export.
