- [E.J.] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your mo-graph knowledge one week at a time. I'm E.J. Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. Character design is one of my favorite things to do in Cinema 4D, but it's always been a pain to animate mouth movement to link up with an audio track. In this quick tip, I'm going to show you how you can easily use an audio track and the sound effector to create a cartoonish lip-sync rig for cartoon mouth animation. All right, so here is my animation here. And it's just got some eyeballs blinking. And how I have the mouth built is by utilizing just a couple of sweeps. And basically how the lip rig is going to work is you're going to have a bunch of different mouth poses. So right now, I just have a very simple open mouth, and a closed mouth. And the name of the game is to try to morph between these two mouth states. And how I'm going to do that is by utilizing a cloner object.
