- [Instructor] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your mograph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. Now, if you don't have C4D Studio or Visualize versions, you don't have access to the sketch and toon cel shader that applies 2D cel shading to your 3D objects, but cel shading fun shouldn't just be limited to those who have the sketch and toon module. In this video, I'm going to cover a perfect alternative that you can use to create cel-shaded materials in any version of Cinema 4D, even Cinema 4D Lite. So here's a little example of what we're going to be making today. And you can see it's just a nice little scripted logo composition, some really nice cel-shaded materials applied to it. Now, let me just first show you how the sketch and toon cel shader works, because it'll help us understand the little work flow that I'll be showing you to try to recreate it in any other version of Cinema 4D.
