Choosing editing software

The last part of the animation process is assembling your shots. As you create each clip using your stop motion software, you're likely going to end up with either a bunch of photos or, a bunch of movies. These movies can then be assembled in a video editing tool. Now, you'll use a video editing tool to do things like trim away the parts of the movie you don't want to see. Sequence the shots into the right order to tell a narrative story, or perhaps, add things like sound effects, music or narration. There are a lot of different video editing tools out there, and the good news is that you don't need to get to fancy. Chances are, your computer includes video editing software with it. Maybe it's iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. If you use creative software, you'll find solutions built right into Photoshop, or things like Adobe Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro X.
