let's see, where are we at here? Layer 37. This is the blank plate, and this is just basically empty forest here. There were kind of trees, and there is a point where there's a light that goes off, a practical light on set that lit up here. Let's see if I can't extend this and see if we can find where that practical light goes off. There it goes. So it lights up, and you can kind of see, as it lights up, what the forest actually looked like. Now, like many other effects in The Assurance, when we shot them, I had no idea how I was going to pull this off at the time that we shot it. I just knew that a practical light would help me sell the effect, and it did, we'll talk about that later in this chapter. And also, it also helped illuminate the forest so I had a better sense of what that forest looked like, but, again, I had no clue how I was going to put a fire back behind there.
