From the course: Motion Graphic Design: Animation

Course structure

- [Instructor] This workshop is part of my creative motion graphic design course, and it focuses on the principles of animation for motion graphics. We use several different applications in this workshop, and if your membership includes access to the exercise files, you can download them and follow along with me during the exercises. When you download these files, please keep the main folder in tact, copy the entire exercise files folder onto your own drive. Please don't remove any of the files from this folder or reorganize it, as it may mess up the projects inside. You'll see that I've organized the files by numbering them to correspond with the chapters of the course, but some of them you can just watch and take in the information. If your membership doesn't include access to exercise files, you can use your own files to practice with. I definitely recommend trying out the techniques on your own files. If you come across a missing files error when working with the After Effects projects, don't worry, there's a really easy way to fix this. I'm gonna show you how to fix those missing file warnings that you can sometimes get in After Effects. So if you see this warning, just click OK, and then go over to the project panel, and type in the word missing. It will then highlight the missing files and all you need to do is double click on those and locate the missing file, and most of the files will be in the folder named footage, so if we open that, and then go into our images folder, we should find the scissors layers file there. And as soon as I click open, it will relink all of the files that are in the same relative path. So that's how to fix any missing file warnings that you may get. So I hope you enjoy the course. If you don't have access to the exercise files, of course you can still watch and follow along, and I recommend that you use the techniques that you learn here on your own creative projects.
