Creating a displace source
- To create a reaction between the title and the watery surface, we need to create what's known as a Displacement Map. This is a grayscale image or video that can be used as a source for one of the compound distortion effects such as the Displacement Map effect, which I'm going to use here. So here we have those two layers that we've created and if I'm going to create a run preview you can barely read that you have one new message. And this is of course because we've chosen a similar color from the water to use with our title. So I think that the first thing we need to do is examine few blending modes. Now you can just scroll this list or you can select the layer and press shift and plus in order to cycle between the different blending modes. If you see something that you like, just make a note.
