- Today's challenge was to animate the logo type "fire squad." How'd you end up doing? Did you go the route of more robotic movements, or did you add some sort of fire elements to your logo type animation, or both? Let me go ahead and show you what I came up with for this challenge. So for this animation, I made the decision to play around with stylized fire. I wanted to experiment with the particle plugin "trap code particular," and seeing what type of cartoonish fire effects I could come up with. So the first step was to create some particle movement, let me jump into After Effects here. So here is my rectangle that makes up the back element of the logo type. And what I wanted to do was use this as an emitter for my particles to emit out from. So I took that as a pre-comp, and an emulator of particular and set the emitter type to that layer that I just showed you of that rectangle animating on, and then just emitted a bunch of particles from it.
