Designing titles with Smart Objects

- One of the best things about Adobe software is the integration that exists between applications. I want to show you how we can take advantage of Smart Object technology that lets us embed photographic and illustration content right within a graphic. This gives you a lot of flexibility if you ever need to go back and edit or retrieve assets for further modification. One of my favorite workflows inside of Photoshop is the ability to use Smart Objects. These are essentially embedded copies of other files or files that are linked to an original source. To access these is pretty simple. Just choose File, Place, and you'll see two choices, Embedded or Linked. Embedded will actually store a physical copy of the file inside of this document, so there's no dependency. So if you move the one Photoshop file, the embedded logo or asset is actually stored inside. And if you use a linked one, well, this just points to the same one on your hard drive or the server.
