- [Instructor] It's really important to include research time for each project that you encounter. You also need time to inspire yourself, ideally away from your studio. Even if the schedule's tight, an hour or so looking through a book or a website can just help to clear your mind and spark off some good ideas. Now, research doesn't have to be boring. It can be a lot of fun, and it can be really inspiring as well. If I want to make an ad for my training company, I need to do a bit of research into what my customers want to create. So what I've done here is I've typed in motion graphic design Brighton, and I've come up with a whole host of different motion graphic designers' websites. And this, I'll hope, will give me an idea of the type of work that these people want to produce. And here we see the website for Bliink TV. And I'm seeing a lot of cartoon-y style, 2D and 3D graphics in here. And if we want to look at their showreel, we can see some of those in action. (upbeat music) So…
