Dynamic gears in Cinema 4D

- [Ed] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly where you up your mograph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz. Let's get our learn on. The Dynamics Engine in Cinema 4D allows you to apply real world physics to objects in your scene. In this video I'll be giving you an intro to two powerful dynamic tools connectors, and motors that allow you to animate objects like gears without any key-framing whatsoever. So here is our scene with our gears all setup, and ready to rig with Dynamics. So, in order to get our objects to be recognized by the Dynamics engine, and apply physics to them we need to apply Dynamics tags onto our objects. So I'll take my cylinders here, right-click and go to Simulation Tags, Rigid Body, and when I hit Play you'll see they'll fall to the ground as they react with gravity. For now we'll only need to change one setting, and that is to make the Dynamic shape a more accurate shape, and that is Moving Mesh. If we left this at Automatic it would be a faster…
