- My friends, before you watch all of my courses and then go out into the world to become a visual effects professional, it's incredibly significant that you learn to do one specific thing, and that is to composite fire. Believe it or not, there are persons who shall remain unnamed out there in the world who call themselves Visual Effects Compositors, and don't know how to do this. So we're going to solve this right now. This is a fire element. It was provided by Artbeats. This is real fire, and it was shot in a completely dark environment. The task is to obviously remove the darkness in order to place it into a scene. I'm arbitrarily using this scene to create a grass fire in the background. It just happens to be what I had handy. You can really set anything you want on fire. But the important thing, is to know how to do it. Now you might look at this element and think, well I know exactly what to do.
