- In visual effects we often say someone has a good eye, as if it were some kind of physical attribute that you're just simply born with. Now the truth is that no one is born with or starts with as good an eye for visual effects as each of us has after we've spent a significant amount of time learning how the world works, how the world looks through a camera, and how to recreate what we see. Even if you're a beginner at compositing, if you know your way around After Effects, you're ready to go further with any of the topics you've seen in this course. There's so much that goes into the core skill of just matching foreground and background, that this topic actually spans two of my courses. There are color matching lessons that build on what you learned in the first lesson here, as well as lessons on matching grain and focus that are found in the Matching Foreground to Background course.
