File and folder management for design projects
- [Instructor] Having a consistent folder structure is really important if you want to keep sane in terms of file and folder management for design projects. In the planning folder, you'll find a file called 05_04_Folder_Structure.zip, and this is my recommended folder structure for most of the creative projects I work on. If you double-click this file, it should unzip, and it will open it up as a folder named 0000_CMGD, which stands for creative motion graphic design, _Project_Name, so you can use this folder structure for all your projects. Obviously you would rename it and possibly put a new numbering system. Let's talk a little bit about what's inside that folder. Now, you'll notice that I've also named the folders inside this main folder with the same numbering. This makes things a little bit easier to find. If I don't do this, then every single project that I work on will have the same naming convention inside the main folder, which means that I'll have multiple copies of…
