- [Instructor] All right, now we are ready to begin our work and import the Photoshop file and create a composition out of it. So, to do so, I'll hover on top of the project panel and double click on a gray portion over here. And this is going to invoke the import file dialogue. So, navigate through the footage folder in the exercise files, if you want to follow along, select the postcard dot PSD, and then click on import or open if you're working on the Mac OS. Now, after effects is going to ask you how you want to import these multilayered PSD file. Now by default on my machine, it is already set to the relevant option. But notice, that you have three options here. You can merge everything and import it as a footage. You can create a composition, meaning that each one of the layers, will have the same dimensions of the document, or you create a composition and retain the layer sizes, which is the preferred way to work,…
