- [Instructor] Expressions are a powerful way to minimize the number of key frames that we have to set when we're animating. Perhaps the two most commonly used expressions inside of after effects are the loop out and loop in expressions. In this movie, we'll learn about these loop expressions and how we can use them to repeat a property's animation without the need for extra work. In this example, I've got my upright bass player and you can see that I have one layer here, isolated out, thanks to my shy layers. So we can focus just on this rotation property. Now I have four key frames here mainly to swing it from left to right, but when I preview, you can see that the action only happens once. Now I can certainly duplicate these key frames on down my timeline to repeat that motion.
