- [Instructor] In this movie, we're gonna have a look at one of the important animation principles and that is to make your drawings or your artwork engaging. Now, I'm in 0202 Engaging AEP if you want to follow along and you have access to the files, you can open that, too. Here you'll see I've got the word engaging. One of the exercises that I give to my students is to animate words to do as they say. I give them verbs usually, so things like run and they'll make the text look like it's running. Or bounce, they'll make it look like it's bouncing. It's a good exercise because if you can make an inanimate object look as if it's doing what you want to communicate, then that means that you're animating really well. I gave myself the word engaging and I thought, well how can I make this engaging? How can I make it characterful? I had a look and the first thing that jumped out at me were the Gs here.
