- [Instructor] Folks, in this chapter, we're going to start looking at a very powerful feature and form called layer maps that allows you to use other layers in your composition as a way to drive and control properties within form. And we're going to be building this little, like thing with the status squares, and so in this tutorial, we're just going to actually build the squares and then in the next tutorial, we're going to look at layer maps specifically. So I'm going to go to the status bars comps, where I have the status solid. I'm going to go do a search for form in the effects and presets panel, and I'm going to go ahead and apply form to this solid layer and then we'll get, after a minute, the form over here on the left hand side. Now as we do in almost every tutorial, I'm going to open up base form and I'm going to change the size to from XYZ linked, so it's just controlled by one property to XYZ individual.…
