Manually adjusting scenes between apps
When you're jumping between After Effects and Cinema 4D, there's a certain amount of, what I like to call jiggery pokery, has to get go on in order to get things to match up correctly. Now I exported this as composition from After Effects into Cinema 4D project. If you want to follow along, I'm in Chapter 909 C4D. And basically, you can see here, I've got elements that have been exported from After Effects, the 3-D camera, tracker camera, shadow catcher and point light. And I've taken the nulls that I've created and attached text layers to them. Now, the other thing that didn't come over from Cinema 4D was my Simiware layer. Now, I could bring this comp into After Effects, and have two separate comps. But I really want, my robots to be integrated into this composition. So I'm also going to merge them into my scene. And that allows me to see how these sit within the scene. So, I'm going to go to merge all jets and I'm going to select chapter 905 dot C4D which was my little robot…
