Match a moving camera

- One of the most fun tools to apply to live action footage in After Effects is the track camera tool. This is an easy to use yet sophisticated effect that performs pixel flow analysis to calculate the depth of specific points in the shot. From this cloud of points, it is then able to recreate the motion and angle of the camera that captured the shot in virtual 3D space. Although some might consider it too advanced a tool for a basics course like this, it's designed to be easy to use. Let me show you how it works. So my shot has a camera tracking to the right as it pans to the left. It's a rather complex motion. I could track the camera right here in the main comp, but I'm actually going to pre-comp first so that I trim everything just to this one shot.
