Matching color and exposure for video in Adobe Premiere Pro
- As you start to put the pieces together, you might want to do a little bit of processing. Either adjusting the background or the foreground so the colors match. To do this, we'll switch to the Color Correction workspace. Let's add an adjustment layer by clicking the New icon and choosing Adjustment Layer. It'll match the size of the screen, and you can drop that in above, and trim it out. There we go. Let's make this a little bigger. We'll just put that Adjustment Layer on its own. Now, let's start to match the colors. I'm going to select the background here, and from the Color Correction workspace, we'll adjust. It's selected, and you'll note that I can pull down the Exposure, so it's a better match. I can deal with the overall Contrast. In this case I'm going to actually reduce Contrast a little bit and pull down the Highlights while lifting the Shadows just a little to get some separation.
