Merging 3D camera data into CINEMA 4D Lite
Some people prefer to animate cameras in After Effects. And for those who do, you can actually merge your camera that you create in After Effects back into CINEMA 4D Lite, and I'm going to show you how to do that here. We're in Chapter 5.7, if you want to follow along. And you'll notice that here in the timeline, I've created a test camera and animated the position and orientation values of it, just to create some different views of my robot. Now, if I want to take that into CINEMA 4D Lite, it's very easy to do. All I need to do is select the layer that has the Ciniware effect on it, hit E to open up my effect. And then in the Effect Control panel, if I double-click the effect in the timeline to open it up, make sure that I have centered Comp Camera or Comp Camera selected. That's important, because it will extract whichever camera is selected here. And then down at the bottom, we click on Merge. Okay? It says here Comp Camera into CINEMA 4D.
