- [Instructor] Mocha AE CC is a powerful effect designed to make the work of rotoscoping much easier. One aspect of its power lies in the ability to look for a defined texture in the footage and follow that textures position, scale and rotation, as it changes over time. We can then use this information to automatically animate a mask for us. Here, we'll look at why Mocha AE CC is an indispensable and integral part of the VFX workflow. Let's get introduced to it and see how we can use it for rotoscoping work. In this example, we have our long jumper who is making contact with the ground, and we've got that ground shatter layer on top. And so we need to duplicate our background layer and rotoscope out just the foot. So that lives on top of our ground shatter. So I'll select my background layer.
