Overview of the client brief

- [Instructor] Before we'll touch on the client brief, I think it's my obligation to introduce to you the client's story. So Roladin is the largest chain of high-quality bakeries and coffee shops in Israel comprising of 74 branches throughout the country. They started in 1987 as a small family business, selling homemade cookies that were prepared by hand and sold from door to door. Over the years, Roladin has established itself as one of the highest quality bakery in Israel that offers approximately 150 different kinds of confectionary products including cakes, quiches, breads, and cookies, all handmade in the manufacturing facility. In this course, I'll use Roladin's TV commercial to explain how to meld text and video together to a seamless creation. And to understand how this was done, I'm going to use an ad that was created for them. It is important that we understand what the client wanted to achieve. So I'll start with the instructions brief that the customer sent to the advertising agency. I won't bore you with all the details and I'll get right to the point. The client wanted us to focus on two key features of his branding, quality, and indulgence. Those two words, quality and indulgence, are kind of vague. And to make sure we are hitting the target, three storylines ideas were presented to the client. The first one was about this moment during a usual day when we want to stop and pamper ourselves. The second direction was about our skills and how we may use them. And the third idea is about an important event in our lives. In order to understand it better, and visually, please join me in the next movie and I'll elaborate more.
