Quickly model holes in Cinema 4D

- [Instructor] Welcome to Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your Mo-Graph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on! Modeling is one of the hardest disciplines to learn in the world of 3D, but today I'm gonna show you one easy way to model something seemingly hard, and that's a hole. Now holes can be tricky to model, but by using this simple workflow, you'll be poking holes in your geometry in no time. So, let's go ahead and let's show the, kind of, quote unquote, cheating way to make a hole, and that's by using a Boole object. Now, if you're bad at modeling like I am, you use the Boole tool a lot, or the Boole object a lot. And the Boole allows you to subtract one piece of geometry from another, or intersect or join Booleans or objects together as well. So, I got my cube, let's use a Cylinder for the hole. So I'm just gonna make the Cube a child of the Boole, and then the Cylinder a child underneath that, and just move this Cylinder on up, and voila…
