- [Instructor] Of course you can take inspiration from less obvious sources too. I came across this website for Farrow and Ball who are paint specialists whose colors I really like. I've sampled some colors from their website. You can sample colors from anywhere on the screen when you're in Illustrator or Photoshop but you need to know a little trick to do it and I'm about to share it with you. Simply click and hold and drag on the eyedropper tool within the application, and then continue to hold down the mouse button as you drag outside the application. Notice that with the mouse held down, it will continue to sample colors, and then you just let go of the mouse button when you've selected the color you want. Once you've sampled that color, add it to New Color Group. But there are other ways of saving the colors. This website also allows you to save colors to your account so that you can build up a range of colors that you want to reference. I did this and then downloaded the colors…
