Speed up ambient occlusion renders in Cinema 4D

- [EJ] Welcome to motion graphics weekly where you up your mo graph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on. Ambient occlusion is a sharing method that adds more realistic shadowing to your scenes. In this video, I'm gonna share one simple trick that will help you speed up your ambient occlusion renders. Now typically when you're working with ambient occlusion, you simply go in your Render Settings, you go to Effect, and apply Ambient Occlusion. Now this is the typical workflow, and let's just do a render test to see how long this render takes. Alright, so that took a while. That was about one minute and 27 seconds to render that little still. Now let's go ahead and try a different method of applying ambient occlusion to our scene. So instead of doing the scenewide ambient occlusion, I'll uncheck that, what I'm gonna do is go into the materials in my scene. For this scene, it's pretty simple setup.
