Spline projection techniques

- [Instructor] Welcome to yet another Motion Graphics Weekly, where you up your Mo-Graph knowledge one week at a time. I'm EJ Hassenfratz, let's get our learn on. Projecting splines onto geometry is a perfect way to add details and more geometry to an object. In this video, I'm going to show you three ways you can make splines conform to the surface of your object. So here we have my little character called Mr. Mochi. And we're going to use some spline projection techniques to apply lips to his body here. So here's our Mr. Mochi without lips, so let's go ahead and use this spline to add some lips to this guy. So let's go ahead and, the first spline projection technique I'm going to show you is using a deformer, specifically the surface deformer, and what the surface deformer does is if you make it a child of an object, go into the Object field here, basically we can project splines onto an object's surface. So what we want to do is actually use this Mapping, UV mapping, so we actually…
