- In this chapter, we'll create a liquid text simulation to integrate type and water. Now, in the real world obviously, type doesn't mix with water. So we'll assume that the text is simply printed on the bottom of a pool, and suddenly appear when the bottle with a mysterious note, is floating in the water above it. Sounds crazy and somewhat unrealistic? Excellent. This means that there is an interesting challenge for us to solve together. First off, I want you to see the clip of this bottle with a message or, message in a bottle. Sorry, I couldn't resist it as a police fan. Anyway, I'm thinking that I want to merge the old and the new here. So my plan is to create a modern message, like an email notification that lies on the bottom of this pool and, seamlessly integrate with the water ripples and caustics that we see in this video. I want the message to pop in, as if it was created by the ripples of the water, and most importantly, not affect the bottle itself, keeping it the subject…
